Circa Million & Circa Survivor 2021 Recap

The NFL only recently made their way to Las Vegas with the Oakland Raiders moving to the city ahead of the 2020-21 season, but football has always been a part of Sin City – largely through the sports betting scene. Every year, millions of NFL bets are made by residents and tourists.

The sportsbooks aren’t the only way NFL fans can bet on football, though. With the rise of daily and season-long fantasy sports, there are an endless amount of ways to cash in on the NFL season and new options are brought to the table every single year as the industry evolves.

That brings us to the Circa Million and Circa Survivor football contests – two contests that give NFL fans a shot at becoming a millionaire. The contests are only open to those in the Las Vegas area, but proxy services allow people from all over the world to take part in the fun festivities.

With the NFL Draft now behind us, the regular season is just a few months away. That means it’s almost time to start preparing for the upcoming Circa Million and Circa Survivor contests – but before you do that, let’s first get a quick recap of how last year’s contests turned out.

Circa Million III 2021 Recap

Recapping the 2021 Circa Sports Million III Contest

The Circa Sports Million contest is a fun way to test your NFL knowledge against the spread. Contestants must make five picks against the spread every week of the NFL regular season. For every pick you get right, you’ll receive one point. For a push, you’ll receive 0.5 points.

It costs $1,000 to enter the contest, but it’s well-worth it if you place in the top-50. First place gets $1 million and there’s another $1.9 million to entries 2-50. There are also quarterly prizes every 4-5 weeks and a $100,000 prize to the last place finisher – known as the Booby Prize.

The 2021 Circa Sports Million III contest saw a total of 4,087 entries and $4,087,000 in total prizes. Let’s take a look at some of the top winners from last year’s installment of the contest!

Full Season Winners

With five picks being made each week and 18 weeks of NFL action, contestants were asked to make a total of 90 picks by season’s end. There were a total of 17 contestants to get at least 60 picks correct, but it all came down to a tiebreaker between DURBIFY and Mad Russian.

DURBIFY ended up taking home the $1,000,000 first place prize with a record of 63-27-0, while Mad Russian took home $325,000 for second place with the same record – DURBIFY won the tiebreaker because he had more winning weeks than Mad Russian. It was an exciting finish.

Surprisingly, DURBIFY also won $50,000 for a separate entry they submitted.

HANNIBAL BARCA (62-27-1) took home $275,000 for third place and JJarvis117 (62-28-0) took home $225,000 for fourth place. There were five contestants that won $114,000, five entrants that took home $50,0000, and dozens of others that took home a nice paycheck for their efforts.

JIGGY JACK was the Booby Prize winner of $100,000 after going 27-63-0 on the season. There were others that did worse, but the others failed to make all 90 picks – which disqualified them.

Quarterly Winners

Every 4-5 weeks of the season, four prizes were awarded to those that had the highest scores during that ‘quarterly’ period. First place was awarded $150,000, second place got $50,000, third place got $25,000, and there was also a $25,000 quarterly Booby Prize for the last place entry.

The first quarter saw five people tie for a $49,350 reward and two people receive a $12,500 Booby Prize for last place. The second quarter saw Rolfsbudo7 win $171,750 for first place, KWPISG win $50,000, BuckeyeSportsGroup win $25,000, and KING DUBB won the Booby.

The third quarter saw BIZMAN win $171,750 for first place, seven people tied for a $10,714.29 second place award, and TRADING LACES won the $25,000 Booby. The fourth quarter saw ALMA win the $171,750, five people tie for a $15,000 award, and TARKUS won the Booby.

2021 Circa Survivor Recap

The Circa Survivor contest is a different story. Contestants not only test their knowledge about the NFL by picking one team to win each week, but are asked to plan ahead because you can’t pick the same team twice in the season. Once you pick a team, you can’t pick them again.

The last contestant standing is declared the winner of the $6,000,000+ jackpot – meaning if you get a pick wrong one week, you’re out of the contest. If there are multiple winners by season’s end, they split the massive jackpot. There’s also a $1 million bonus for finishing the year 20-0.

The 2021 Circa Survivor contest saw a total of 4,080 entries and the minimum $6,000,000 jackpot was split between five winners – all of which went a perfect 20-0-0 during the season.

MYCOOL, RETURN OF SURVIVOR, and On Top 247 each won $1,533,333.35 for their efforts, while SYRACUSE HAWKEYES and CHRIS PIPER each took home $1,200,000.

Looking Forward to the 2022 Circa Sports Football Contests

For a $1,000 entry fee, those that win are taking home some fine winnings – especially those that play the Circa Sports Million contest. Even if you don’t win it all, you can still walk away with $100,000+ through quarterly and full season winnings. Even 50th place doubled the investment!

If you’re interested in taking part in the 2022 Circa Sports Million or Circa Survivor contests, it’s best to start preparing now – especially if you live outside of Las Vegas. You can still play if not in Las Vegas, but you’ll have to partner with a proxy service like Winners Circle Proxy and make an initial visit to Vegas.
