2022 Circa Survivor Recap

Of all the NFL contests in the industry, Circa Survivor once again proved to be the most entertaining! In fact, the 2022 Circa Survivor will go down in history as one of the wildest of all time. When the dust finally settled, two contestants (Browna and Jed) ended up a perfect 20-0 and split the winner-take-all prize check of more than $6 million!

In this post, we’ll recap the 2022 Circa Survivor from start to finish. After seeing all of the exhilarating highlights below, you may just be motivated to get in on the action by entering this year’s Circa Survivor!

Brutal Week 1 Eliminates Over Half the Field in Circa Survivor

Avid sports enthusiasts often say that NFL stands for Not For Long! Judging by how harsh the 2022 Week 1 card went, that acronym seems incredibly accurate. Seasoned contest players know that Survivor is unbelievably difficult, but 56% of entries getting torched in Week 1 is a whole different level of cruelty.

The Indianapolis Colts served up the most casualties, as 14.3% of people picked them and watched them tie the Houston Texans 20-20. In case you didn’t know, ties are the same as a loss in Survivor contests.

The Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers were the next biggest culprits, as their losses eliminated over 700 entries apiece. Who knew that the lowly Chicago Bears would come out of Week 1 with a huge upset win?

After Week 7, 6,008 of 6,133 Entries Were Wiped Out

If you’ve played any type of Survivor contest in the past, you’re probably familiar with the term “Massacre.” That one word perfectly sums up how the first 7 weeks of the NFL season treated 2022 Circa Survivor players. Only 125 entries advanced to Week 8.

Which team continued to dole out the most headaches? It was those pesky Chicago Bears, who once again pulled off a gigantic upset by shocking the New England Patriots 33-14. That eliminated 45.8% of the remaining entries!

The other devastating blow came from the Carolina Panthers whipping Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Bucs 21-3 as large home underdogs. That resulted in 70 more entries getting axed.

MadDog Experiences Iconic Win & Devastating Loss

One of our very own Winners Circle Proxy Service clients, MadDog, did exceptionally well in the 2022 Circa Survivor! He was the only entrant to pick the Minnesota Vikings on Christmas Eve.

Both the Viks and MadDog survived on a Greg Joseph 61-yard field goal as time expired. That booming kick gave Minny the win and sent MadDog into the final four of Circa Survivor.

The crazy thing was that the 3 remaining players were all on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the late-night Christmas Eve game against the Las Vegas Raiders. If the Raiders could squeak by the Steelers, MadDog would have arguably the Merriest Christmas in history.

With Las Vegas holding a 10-3 lead going into the 4th quarter, things looked quite bright for our client. Unfortunately, Kenny Pickett and the Steelers ruined the party and the payday by scoring a touchdown with 50 seconds left in the game. This meant that 4 folks would advance to Christmas Day.

MadDog picked the Miami Dolphins on Christmas Day over the Green Bay Packers. The Fish held a 7-point lead at the half but couldn’t get anything going offensively in the second half. Tua Tagovailoa threw three straight interceptions to prevent his team and MadDog from winning.

Overall though, it was one heck of a run for MadDog and all of our clients in the 2022 Circa Survivor. They’ll all be back and ready for revenge in 2023.

BrownA and Jed “Survive” to Win $3 Million Apiece

Week 18 saw 3 Circa Survivor contestants battle it out for the $6 million grand prize! BrownA picked the Jags, Jed backed the Seahawks, and The Enemy Within rolled with the Colts. To add even more drama, all three games weren’t decided until the fourth quarter!

After trailing by a touchdown at halftime, the Seahawks came back to win in overtime over the Rams. Can you imagine how much Jed must’ve been sweating that game?

BrownA’s selection on the Jags also got home, but it was no cakewalk! The Titans led by six going into the fourth quarter before Josh Allen recovered a fumble and took it 37 yards to the house.

As they did in Week 1, the Colts proved to be a Survivor Killer once again. Indy took a 7-point lead late against the Texans, but Houston pulled off some late-game heroics.

Davis Mills threw a 28-yard touchdown pass with 50 seconds remaining and then made a 2-point conversion en route to a 32-31 victory. That meant that The Enemy Within was eliminated in Week 18.

When all was said and done, BrownA and Jed both ended up going 20-0 and sharing the total prize pool of more than $6 million! You can bet (pun intended) that the 2023 Circa Survivor will be just as wild!
